Each session will examine a middle school mathematics concept and how it is developed within the CMP curriculum. You will have the opportunity to learn how to meet the needs of a wide range of learners in your classroom. Most importantly, you will build a network of professionals to share with.
There are 5 sessions total. You may attend any or all sessions you wish. November 17, 2009: Fractions December 7, 2009: Concepts of area and perimeter January 15, 2010: Concepts of proportional reasoning and similarity March 16, 2010: Algebra May 11, 2010: Fractions, Decimals, Percent
AUDIENCE:general education teacher, special education teacher or paraprofessional who uses Connected Mathematics Project materials at any grade level PRESENTER:Tammy Schiller COST: Free of charge (districts are responsible for substitutes) MEAL: A snack will be provided.
